Dear John,
Caribbean queen becomes Lake Rotoiti’s Tiua
After a four month, 9000 nautical mile journey to New Zealand, the yacht Tiua arrived at Lake Rotoiti for a complete refit and remodel to become the luxurious 53 foot yacht she is today.
Tiua is moored at the Duxton Okawa Bay, just 20 kilometres North of Rotorua city centre.Onboard facilities include three bathrooms and two spacious ensuite cabins. This is complemented by a luxurious lounge and bar area, as well as plenty of space on deck for relaxing or entertaining.
Director Tina Masters says the Pure Cruise team wanted to create a space that was luxurious but comfortable, while also bringing out the natural highlights, such as Tiua’s natural wood timbers which feature throughout.“Tiua definitely offers a touch of class and elegance, but in a natural environment. Visitors know they are part of something special, while also feeling a little bit of home."

Pure Cruise Director, Tina Masters, has spent most of her life on or in the water, and embraced the opportunity to be involved with Tiua, helping sail the yacht back from its original home in the Caribbean.
"I grew up on the Coromandel in a very active boating, fishing and diving family. Summer breaks were spent making the most of everything the Hauraki Gulf has to offer" says Tina.
After travelling extensively overseas, working in hospitality in the United Kingdom and the Mediterranean, Tina returned to NZ and gained a Bachelor of Physical Education and Masters in Business. Tina has settled in Rotorua with her husband and three daughters.

"Lake Rotoiti captivates my interest as the home of the Ngati Pikiao people. There is a vibrant community and living culture around the lake, and it means a lot to me that we can share that with our visitors on board Tiua."
"It’s a very special place and it creates very special memories. I'm proud to be part of that. She offers the best of both worlds.” says Tina.
