Dear John,
PIGS CAN'T FLY BUT THEY CAN SWIM
These photos were taken on a recent NZ Riverjet jet boat Safari with a boat load of guests on our new adventure “The Squeeze”. The trip was organized as a family celebration to celebrate a 25th wedding anniversary.
The group had completed the Squeeze and during the trip they walk in the bush and the guests are shown a pig track where the wild pigs cross the river and have made a very deep track in and out of the water, some people do not believe us, but it’s true. They group were just being briefed about the thrills and spins on the return trip when in the middle of the river the guests noticed a big black object swimming in the river. We cruised up slowly in the jet boat and found it was a wild boar of around 150lbs with good big ivory tusks.
As the boat circled the pig it grunted and tried to chase the boat and wanted a free ride home. The guests were amazed at seeing such an animal so far away from land and such a big pig.
These are just some of the sights that some lucky guests get to see when on a Safari with NZ Riverjet.
NEW DEPARTURE TIME
From the 1st of October this year, New Zealand Riverjet will have a new departure time for the morning trip. This will now be 11.00am, previously 10.30am. This has resulted from many requests from the public and travel trade to allow time for guests to visit Wai-O-Tapu Lady Knox Geyser and then travel down to New Zealand Riverjet.

GEOTHERMAL OVERLOAD
New Zealand Riverjet has a new tour - Geothermal Overload! So what's different you ask? Customers can now choose either one thermal park or two and experience NZ Riverjet as well. They can just do Wai-O-Tapu and New Zealand Riverjet if they choose and then enjoy an early lunch while we are at Orakei Korako and the other guests walk the park. Key Highlights will include:
